Welcome back! December's social studies curriculum continues with comparing the language, traditions, and holidays of various cultures. The children will bring home a family project to share one of your favorite cultural celebrations! Consider a celebration that teaches about your uniqueness! Please do not select Christmas as we will share many traditions throughout the month of December. You are invited to view the class projects on December 21st at 12:30.
Math - we will discover telling time to the hour and half hour
Reading -we will dive into non-fiction books and couple this with our writing unit. We will learn how to use the various text features to gather information then compare several books on one topic to teach the class about this subject.
Writing - we will combine our understanding of non-fiction text features to write an All About book on one topic.
Please sign-up to donate an item for our penguin class project!
Be mindful mid-year testing will begin next week. Please do your best to honor consistent bedtimes and a good breakfast before school!
